An infrastructure knowledge platform served to humans as HTML and to agents as JSON, with a search API and an MCP server.
Why it started
Agents kept re-deriving the same infrastructure knowledge, and the documentation that would have saved them was written for people. The idea: write it once, serve it both ways, and let an agent pull a validated Kubernetes pattern or an execution template through a tool call.
What it is
A Hugo site with dual HTML and JSON output, deployed as a Cloudflare Worker with static assets, in front of a Workers API backed by a D1 database, KV caching and full-text search. An MCP server exposes the knowledge, Kubernetes validation and execution templates to any agent. Scaffolded 2026-02-21 with eleven seed articles; over 190 articles, a feedback API and ops tooling within two days. Live at agent-zone.ai.1
Where it stands
Paused; last change 2026-05-27. The knowledge base became the seed corpus for shellm’s “knowledge” dataset and the idea of knowledge-outside-the-model returned, much larger, as LiLM.
Lineage
- Came from: the first public repos, and the habit of writing things down for others (team enablement)
- Led to: Dream Team (agents need somewhere to act, not just knowledge), the greenfield platform, LiLM
